Evan will be partnering with Peter Larsen (Akerman LLP) on October 25 to present on the topic, “How to do SALT in 2022 and Beyond.” This session will explore best practices to ensure effective communication and document management and retention, and strategies for proactively planning and monitoring state and federal law and policy changes.

Robert P. Merten III will be partnering with Leah Robinson (Mayer Brown) on October 27 to present on the topic, “Issues with Sales Taxation of Digital Business Inputs.” The presenters in this session will review the findings of COST’s recent study that documents that state taxation of digital business inputs is the norm, and discuss how this development makes a long-standing systemic flaw of state sales tax systems worse.

This three-and-a-half-day annual meeting offers sessions for every state tax and government affairs professional with tax responsibilities. The meeting has an extensive program covering all types of state and local taxes that business taxpayers are confronted with on a daily basis, as well as other conference sessions that provide updates on timely SALT issues and insight regarding state tax trends and opportunities.
